EMAC Students,
Tomorrow, Thursday the 14th we will be having a Coppell News Day. You will be exempt from your classes for the day. We will meet in the lecture hall at 8:20 to discuss groups and learn about what we will be doing. You will need to make sure you have a pen and paper, a laptop if you have one, camera and a Flip camera or video camera if you have one! We hope that this is a fun event!

EMAC Christmas, White Elephant, Party

The EMAC Officers are hosting a christmas party at Natalie Hinson`s house. Her address is on the evite that was sent to the students on their school e-mail. The party will be held on Tuesday, December 13th from 7:30-9:30. For the party, you will need to bring a white elephant or GAG gift. The cost of the gift is a maximum of $10. International Career Day
Here is an email that came from Mrs. Kennedy, EMAC lead, describing what will be happening on the field trip, to the International Career Day.
Dear EMAC Parents,
In keeping with the focus on global awareness in the Academies, I have just confirmed a field trip to the International Career Day through the DFW World Affairs Council for EMAC freshmen students. The trip is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1st from 8:30am – 2:30pm. At this event, students will hear from selected representatives and experts on topics such as:- international professions
- college degrees
- study abroad opportunities
- the local impact of global trends
- cultural “do’s and taboos”
Women
- Neatly pressed dress pants/slacks
- Sweaters, twin sets, cardigans, nice shirts/blouses
- Dresses or skirts – professional length
- Flip flops and athletic shoes are unacceptable
- Neatly pressed dress pants with a belt
- Dress shirts with a tie or shirts with a collar (must be tucked into pants)

SMU Tate Lecture Series trip - speaker Katie Couric
EMAC sophomores are traveling to SMU tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 29, to hear award-winning journalist Katie Couric speak at the SMU Tate Lecture Series. The lecture begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Hughes-Trigg Student Center Ballroom.
The attire is professional. Here are some of the dress requirements:

Students will be dismissed from 6th period at 2:45 and are to report immediately to the horseshoe to depart for SMU via transportation provided by EMAC parents.
Students are encouraged to bring pen, paper and a camera if they wish.
Below is the permission slip and the flyer from the SMU TATE Lecture Series form. The permission slip needs to be filled out and turned in at any time up until you meet at the horseshoe.
